Foundry Digital LLC, a mining company and subsidiary to Digital Currency Group (DCG), launched Foundry Logistics on Thursday. Foundry is a crypto mining and staking company. The company also owns DCG. This new mining logistics arm follows the launch of staking services by the company in November last year and Foundry’s machine marketplace in December. Foundry Logistics strives to improve and set high standards in transparency, efficiency and dependability within the cryptocurrency mining industry.
Foundry Logistics has offices around the world and contacts on the ground to help with “cost-effective, streamlined deliveries” in crypto mining. Foundry Logistics provides clients with customs clearance and insurance guidance, as well as ocean shipping solutions and national warehouse solutions. Foundry Logistics customers have access to the mining machine marketplace Foundryx, along with other services offered by the crypto business.
Foundry Logistics senior vice president of infrastructure, MK Sathya stated in a statement to Bitcoin.com News that Foundry Logistics wants to do the exact same thing as Foundry with other verticals. “We want to provide the growing number of institutions within this mature industry with products and services and resources that are comparable with those that exist older and more established industries,” MK Sathya said.
Foundry Logistics Launches Following Company’s Mining Industry Academy
Foundry USA, a New York-based mining pool, is also the best in terms of Bitcoin’s global hashrate percentages. Foundry has taken 18.55% of Bitcoin’s global havehrate over the past three days. This equates to 38.42 Exahash per Second (EH/s). Foundry received 87 block rewards, whereas 13 other mining pools collectively discovered 469 blocks. According to year-to-date statistics, Foundry USA captured 16.16% of global hashrate over 12 months. Foundry USA was the top mining pool, capturing 16.16% of the 53.864 block rewards discovered over the past year. Foundry USA has found 8,705 blocks.
Following the launch of Foundry Logistics, Foundry Academy introduced it on July 19. The academy offers a 1-week training program for technicians to participate in the Bitcoin mining industry. Foundry Academy explained that registrations are now open for the class as the first session of the program ended in May. Foundry’s academic classes are held at a Rochester, New York mining facility.
